Applications being accepted for Heritage parade

Applications are still being accepted for the 40th annual Oil Heritage Festival parade on Saturday.

The parade steps off at 5 p.m. at the corner of Orange and West First streets. It will end in front of PNC Bank on Seneca Street.

The judging station will be located at the Central Avenue plaza.

This year’s theme is “40 Years of Oil Heritage.” Entries are encouraged to celebrate the region’s history and memories of past festivals.

Any group or organization interested in entering the parade is asked to contact the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce at (814) 676-8521 or get a form at www.oilheritagefestival.com.

Floats, walking groups, performing groups and a variety of other entries are welcome.
