Annual cross walks set in Franklin, Clarion

Annual cross walks have been scheduled for Good Friday, March 25, in Franklin and Clarion.

In Franklin, the walk will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church at Tenth and Liberty streets. It will proceed up Liberty, crossing at 11th Street and continuing up Liberty to The Commons.

The walk will again cross Liberty and proceed down to and up 12th Street, turning onto Buffalo Street and ending at Christ United Methodist Church, located at 1135 Buffalo.

It usually takes slightly less than one hour for walking and prayer.

In Clarion, this year’s cross walk will focus on the places associated with the final hours of Jesus’ life. The walk will begin at noon at Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street focusing on Gethsemene with the Rev. LaMounte Sayers.

The walk will process through town to the following churches:

  • 12:30 p.m. – First Baptist with the Rev. Jake Jacobson, focusing on the courtyard
  • 1 p.m. – Grace Lutheran with the Rev. Trent Kirkland, focusing on Pilate’s headquarters
  • 1:30 p.m. – First Methodist with the Rev. Ozzie Alvarado, focusing on Golgotha
  • 2 p.m. – First Presbyterian with the Rev. Kevin Haley, focusing on the tomb
