9 girls vying for Heritage queen

Nine local students are candidates for the 2020 Oil Heritage Festival queen.

The queen will be crowned at 7 p.m. Thursday in a virtual ceremony that will be streamed on the Oil Heritage Festival Facebook page, as well as on Comcast Channel 22.

The candidates are:

– Sara Allaman, daughter of Mark and Barbi Allaman; Cranberry High School

– Faith Ames, daughter of Jeffrey and Elizabeth Ames; Oil City High School

– Ashlee Douglass, daughter of Matthew and Miranda Douglass; Oil City High School

– Ava Ferringer, daughter of Jason and Monica Ferringer; Cranberry High School

– Sarah Fisher, daughter of Shane and Susan Fisher; Oil City High School

– Rylee Merwin, daughter of MariJo and DJ Merwin; Oil City High School

– Christa Schneider, daughter of DeeEtte and Karle Schneider; Oil City High School

– Sophia Sobina, daughter of Christopher and Debra Sobina; Venango Catholic

– Kalynne Ziegler, daughter of Bryan and Wendi Ziegler; Cranberry High School
