390 tri-county veterans have died in past year

Of the 390 tri-county veterans who have died since last Memorial Day, 282 were from Venango County, 99 were from Clarion County and nine were from Forest County.

What follows is a list of names from Venango and Clarion counties. A list of names from Forest County wasn’t available.

Venango County

According to the Venango County Veterans’ Affairs office, of the 282 veterans who have died in the past year, 36 served during World War II, 66 during the Korean War, 79 during the Vietnam War, 10 during the Gulf War, and 91 during peacetime. Some veterans served during more than one war.

The following list contains the names of those veterans and the wars during which they served. Veterans who served during more than one war are listed under the earlier war.
