2 Titusville men face drug charges

Titusville police said two Titusville men were arrested on drug charges after one lead officers on a foot chase at 9:44 p.m. Friday.

Police said they discovered two “suspicious” males next to a dumpster in the parking lot of Patty’s Bakery that appeared to complete a hand-to-hand transaction of illegal narcotics. After investigation, it was discovered that the men were Jacob Schneider, 24, and Derek Schneider, 23. At this time it was found that Derek Schneider had a warrant out of Butler County, police said.

Jacob Schneider then ran from the scene, leading police on a foot chase across traffic and through several yards. Once he was placed in custody he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, prescription medication, two digital scales, packaging material and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Police said Derek Schneider was found to be in possession of two different prescription medications.

Jacob Schneider has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of drug paraphernalia and one count of disorderly conduct.

Derek Schneider has been charged with one count of conspiracy-possession with intent to deliver and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

Both men were placed in the Crawford County jail until they could be arraigned, police said.
