2 from area take firsts at 4-H horse show

Several 4-H members represented Venango County at the Pennsylvania 4-H horse show Oct. 27-29 in Harrisburg.

Here is a rundown of the participants and their results:

Taylor Dziekciasz placed first in both keyhole and poles, second in cutback and sixth in barrels.

Jake Opaterny placed first in barrel racing and fourth in poles.

Megan Anderson placed second in both poles and keyhole.

Lane Freer placed third in keyhole and participated in barrels.

Dan McQuaide placed 10th in cutback.

Courney Carey placed ninth in beginner trail

Emilee Klingler placed third in hand trail.

Paige Klingler placed fourth in mini driving.

Brianne Hawke placed ninth in mini driving.

Dakota Heckathorne placed fourth in driving.

Charlie Snyder participated in junior grooming and showmanshi.

Matt McQuaide participated in keyhole.

Sarah Stallard placed fourth in cutback and ninth in poles.
