2 Brookville students in custody in shooting plot

From staff reports

Two Brookville Area High School students are in custody after allegedly plotting a school shooting.

Brookville police said the incident began Friday when they were given information related to the juveniles who planned to carry out a shooting at Brookville Junior-Senior High School.

Authorities determined they had detailed plans and “spoke of what they planned to do with their peers,” police said.

The students were taken into custody by Brookville police and turned over to Jefferson County Juvenile Probation.

Both students have been charged with terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct, police said.

Brookville Area School District Superintendent Robin Fillman wasn’t available for comment.
