Oil City High School handed out diplomas Wednesday to 144 graduates in the Class of 2016.
The district’s 139th commencement exercises were held at 6 p.m. at the high school football field.
Steven Luxbaucher provided organ music and Katelyn Neely led the group in the pledge of allegience. The Rev. Justin Pino gave an invocation and the benediction.
Class valedictorian Angela Mattern spoke, followed by salutatorian Kayla McCandless.
The commencement ensemble sang “No Time”, which was dedicated to the parents of the Class of 2016.
The roll call was done by principals Scott Stahl and Lynda Weller.
Diplomas were presented by school board members.
Stahl and Weller presented the Class of 2016, and superintendent Patrick Gavin conferred the degrees.
