1 men held, another waives in OC drug case

From staff reports

Cases against two of four people arrested Friday on drug-related charges at a residence on East Seventh Street in Oil City moved forward Wednesday.

Cody McClelland, 28, was held for court after a preliminary hearing in Venango County Central Court; and Ryan Sharp, 24, waived his hearing in Central Court.

McClelland was held on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sharp waived on charges of possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges stem from officers serving a warrant at 222 East Seventh on Friday after learning that the occupants were involved in the sale and distribution of controlled substances, police said.

McClelland remains confined to the Venango County jail as he was unable to post bail.

Sharp was released Wednesday on an unsecured bond.

Two other suspects in the case were arrested for child endangerment as two minor children were inside the residence when the warrant was served.

Stephanie Goodman, 23, is charged with endangering the welfare of children, possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Zackary Collingwood, 29, is charged with endangering the welfare of children and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Goodman and Collingwood are scheduled for preliminary hearings at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Central Court. Both remain in the Venango County jail.
