Franklin state police said one person was injured in a one-vehicle crash Sunday in Sugarcreek Borough.

Police said that a person was traveling along Halyday Run Road at about 7 p.m. when they lost control of their vehicle and went off the right side of the road, hitting a pole.

The driver was transported to UPMC Northwest by Reno Ambulance, Dan Marvin, Reno first-assistant fire chief said.

The pole that was sheered off from the collision was a communications pole and had no damaged wires or electric lines involved, Marvin said. The driver’s name was not released by police.

Assisting at the scene were Reno and Rocky Grove volunteer fire departments, and Community Ambulance.
